Other bloggers and reviewers have written about Cleo Shower Cream, but I have to add my two cents. I absolutely ADORE this product, and I am writing this shout-out in the hopes that I can beg the manufacturer to begin to make this product available in the U.S. again.
Cleo Shower Cream is a shower cream that is or was available in 3 flavors: vanilla, chocolate and honey. Although the product touts yogurt as an ingredient (it has “yogurt powder”, whatever that does), it’s all about the scent. I’ve tried both vanilla and chocolate, and they smell absolutely heavenly! Usually I’m not big on food scents in my bath products, but these fragrances are amazing. Because of the incredible scent, they are so fun to use!
The consistency is creamy, as it says, and it lathers up to a rich foam. It leaves my skin soft and moisturized, though for my super-dry skin I follow-up with a body lotion afterwards. You may not need any additional moisturizing.
The product is a real deal: about $3.99 for the 8.5 oz size. I used to buy Cleo Shower Cream most often through drugstore.com, and once when it was out-of-stock at drugstore.com, I bought it through a private vendor on amazon.com. Long time ago, I saw it in a tiny pharmacy in Boston’s Little Italy.
Cleo bath products are made by an Italian company called Paglieri Profumi, and they seem to have introduced a number of new bath products, but none as enticing as the Cleo Shower Creams. So here’s where the real purpose of my review comes in: I am begging Paglieri to PLEASE start shipping product back to the U.S.!!!! Drugstore.com claims it will be back in stock in “1-2 weeks”, but I think that timetable has been up for months. I can’t find the product anywhere else, short of getting on a plane and flying to Italy! I even sent Paglieri an email, but never got a reply; I probably should’ve tried to write in Italian.
Anyway, if any of you have a source for purchasing this terrific product, please let me know. If you love it and can’t find it, please join me in lobbying the company or drugstore.com to start shipping again.
