Winter is on the way, if not here already. If you live in a cold climate like I do, that means stepping up your skincare routine. And if you have very dry skin like I do, you probably always have hydration on the brain!
Derma E, the affordable natural skincare company, sent me two new-to-me hydrating skincare products:
I’ve been using both products for several weeks, and I want to let you know about them now in case you’re “winterizing” your skincare routine.
Derma E Hydrating Cleanser
All summer and fall, I was using a glycolic acid cleanser. I love it, but I was concerned that it might be too drying to use twice a day, everyday now that the cold weather has set in. So the Derma E Hydrating Cleanser arrived at just the right time.
In addition to washing away dirt, oil and impurities, Derma E moisturizes skin. For a long time, I didn’t realize that it was possible that something you wash away could leave behind good things, but now I know that it can. Derma E contains sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid that is smaller and better able to penetrate the skin), chamomile, lemongrass and papaya as well as antioxidants vitamins A and E to soften and nourish skin. After I use it, my skin feels dewy rather than stripped.
Plus the clear gel has a wonderful citrus scent that I love. I can smell the citrus scent when I pump some into my hand, but I can’t smell it when it’s on my face. It lathers just enough, and it works well with my Foreo Luna.
If you have dry skin, I recommend trying Derma E Hydrating Cleanser. It’s the perfect cleanser for right now.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate (Coconut Derived), Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine (Coconut Derived), Glyceryl Laurate (Vegetable Derived), Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Derived), Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid; Actimoist®Bio-1), Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemon Grass) Extract, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Organic Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Allantoin, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance Oils.
Derma E Hydrating Night Cream
Although Derma E Hydrating Night Cream is an ultra-rich, fluffy cream, it isn’t greasy or oily on my skin. In fact, it sinks in and dries down completely to a matte finish within a minute. You can put on this night cream and go right to bed and not have to be concerned that it’ll stain your pillow!
Like the Hydrating Cleanser, the Hydrating Night Cream contains sodium hyaluronate, so it’s a nice drink for thirsty dry skin! Plus it contains natural oils from macadamia nut and jojoba, as well as organic aloe and herbs and vitamins C and E. I love that Derma E products are all natural, and this cream contains lots of organic ingredients as well.
The luxurious cream comes in a heavy glass jar that looks pretty on my vanity. I scoop up a small amount from the jar with a clean skincare paddle. A little goes a long way. It feels so soothing as I smooth it on my skin.
Does it have a fragrance, some of you will want to know? If I stick my nose in the jar, I can smell a faint sweet scent, but on my skin I smell nothing.
I took a look at the reviews on the Derma E website, and the Hydrating Night Cream was rated 4.6 out of 5 from 153 reviewers. So I’m not the only one who enjoys this lovely night cream. What really surprised me was that a number of reviewers had acne, but Hydrating Night Cream suited their skin very well. Interesting!
If you have dry skin or skin that is exposed to the elements in the winter, check out Derma E Hydrating Night Cream. Read some of the 153 reviews for yourself 😉
