I’ve made no secret of my love for FarmHouse Fresh’s fabulous food-inspired natural skincare products. I have loved every product I’ve tried so far. And though still three months away, the holidays and gift-giving season will be here before we know it. FarmHouse Fresh in general, and the two products I’m writing about today are ones you definitely need to keep in mind as gifts that will be well-received by skincare product lovers.
A fabulous way to get to try out FarmHouse Fresh products is with their samplers. FHF makes a lot of products, so here’s a way to try three at a time. I think these sets make the most incredible gifts. I know that they’ll be on my gift-giving list this holiday season.
The sampler comes in three different versions made up of different types of products:
- Sweeping Softness – body softening products: Sweet Cream Salt Scrub, Whoopie! Cream and Agave Nectar Body Oil
- Skin Saviors – hand and body softening products: Whoopie! Cream, Rainbow Road and Fluffy Bunny
- Quick Recovery – facial masks: Guac Star Avocado Mask, Splendid Dirt Organic Pumpkin Mud Mask and Pudding Apeel Tapioca Glycolic Mask
Each of the sets contains three plastic 1 ounce jars, and the prices vary by set from $18-22.
Let’s me tell you more about the sampler set I’ve been using.
I already own the full size version of the Pudding Apeel Tapioca Glycolic Mask (reviewed here). This mask smells like a sweet dessert pudding, and it’s so deliciously scented I’m tempted to put a spoon in it and take a taste 😛 I use this mask on a regular basis because of the glycolic acid ingredient to help retexturize my skin.
The Splendid Dirt Organic Pumpkin Mud Mask is so perfect for right now, the beginning of pumpkin season. The mask smells just like pumpkin pie filling or a pumpkin spiced latte without the coffee. So yummy! Today is a very humid September day in the low 80s. My skin that I often refer to ask “desert dry” and “super dry” is sooooooo greasy! I applied a thin layer of the light orange Splendid Dirt Organic Pumpkin Mud Mask. It took a few minutes to dry, and then I washed it off with warm water. My skin feels so much cleaner and so much better!
Guac Star Avocado Mask is green, and it definitely looks like guacamole! This one has the least scent. IMHO, guacamole and avocados don’t have much of a smell. The Avocado Mask is hydrating and soothing. I’ll be using this one more as the weather gets colder.
From trying this sampler, I know I’ll be buying the Splendid Dirt Organic Pumpkin Mud Mask when I use up the little jar. One try and it became a must-have for me! As I mentioned, this sampler set would make a great gift, but once you try it, you’ll want to keep it for yourself. So buy two.
Quick Recovery is priced at $22.
Shea Butter Soaps
I’m a bar soap lover. I don’t share my soap with anyone so I’m not worried about the things that some people are concerned about. I have soap dishes that prevent my soaps from disintegrating in the shower or on the side of the sink.
This is my first time trying soap from FarmHouse Fresh, and I am more than impressed with their Shea Butter Soaps. First, they are beautifully wrapped in charming, vintage patterned heavy paper that almost looks like handmade paper or like the cotton printed fabric used for quilting. The soap is tied with hemp and a cute heavy paper logo circle. The care in the packaging alone would make these great gift candidates for any bar soap lover.
Second, they’re really big!! Each one (I received 3) will last me a looooooooong time!
Third, they are super-hydrating! The 97% natural soaps blend shea butter, olive oil and sweet almond oil for the creamiest, loveliest lather. I know that these soaps will be up to the task of hydrating the dry, dehydrated winter skin that I know will be coming my way in a few months. FHF says that their soap helps improve skin’s elasticity. I’ll be interested to see if I experience firmness as a result of using the soaps. Hope so!
Fourth, the scents are heaven. FHF really knows how to do authentic, delicious scents, and the Shea butter soaps do not disappoint. My favorite of the three is Coconut Cream but I’m prejudiced – I am addicted to all things coconut. The other two scents, Front Porch Punch, a sweet scent, and Citrine Beach, a fresh more gender neutral scent, are also wonderful.
Each soap is priced at $11.50. Crochet up a color-coordinated cotton wash cloth that I wrote about and gave the pattern for last month, and you’d have a really charming hostess gift, stocking stuffer or thank you gift.
FarmHouse Fresh is becoming an increasingly well-known and award-winning line of natural, professional bath, body and facial skincare products. They’re sold at select spas and resorts including the Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria and Hyatt Hotels. You can also buy them online on the FarmHouse Fresh website. I’m hoping that one day they’ll come to a store near me so I can run out and buy them at a moment’s notice! Yes, they’re that good!
