I’ve been singing the praises of StriVectin’s TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream (reviewed here) for over a year now. In fact, it was one of my favorite skincare products of 2016. It’s a thick, super rich cream that really works for me with my mature skin, but I’ve found that some women, often younger women, find it to be too rich and too thick for their needs.
StriVectin must have been listening because toward the end of 2016, they came out with two new neck products: StriVectin Tightening Neck Serum Roller and TL Advanced Light Tightening Neck Cream. I’ve been trying them out for a few months now, and I’d like to tell you about them if you haven’t tried them already.
StriVectin Tightening Neck Serum Roller
I’ve never seen anything like Tightening Neck Serum Roller. Check this out!
The roller feels very cooling and soothing on my neck. At first, I thought the roller itself might be a gimmick. But in addition to feeling nice on my skin, keeping my fingers from getting sticky when I apply, and helping me use very little product, I think it has helped define my neck and jawline more.
The serum is a clear gel that dries quickly on my neck. I have been using it in conjunction with the StriVectin Light Neck Cream, and the two work well together. I think of the serum as a booster, the something extra that, at my age, can be very helpful. I have been scrutinizing my neck, and I have some creases that are not going away but they look softer, and I can live with that. But I think the attention to my neck with neck cream and now the serum roller that I’ve been using since early December has made a difference in firmness. IMHO I think my neck looks pretty good especially compared to a lot of women in my age range. Hope I’m not just wearing rose-colored glasses?
In addition to using StriVectin Tightening Neck Serum Roller with StriVectin’s Light Neck Cream, I tried it with NeoStrata’s Neck Cream which is heavier and creamier than StriVectin Light. Unfortunately, it makes the NeoStrata Neck Cream pill or ball up, so I don’t use them together any more. So I’m not sure how well the serum will pair with other neck creams. But read on and I’ll tell you about the StriVectin Light Neck Cream and why I think it works so well with the StriVectin Neck Serum Roller.
BTW, StriVectin Tightening Neck Serum Roller has a very light masking scent that is imperceptible unless I put my nose up to the roller. The tube contains 50 ml/1.7 fl. oz. The MSRP is $89.

StriVectin TL Advanced Tightening Light Neck Cream
StriVectin TL Advanced Light Tightening Neck Cream is a gel-cream. IMO, they should have called it Light Neck Gel and really emphasized the difference in form from original thick cream. For all of you women who tried the original StriVectin TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream and found it too heavy, this new gel-cream is the answer. It has a fabulous lightweight texture that’s a pleasure to wear and that goes on so well after the serum. They are both gels so I think they were literally made for each other! I had been using the gel-cream alone for about a month or so before I received the serum, and although I thought it was great, the duo seems even better in terms of hydration and firmness.
The Light Neck Cream was developed to visibly tighten, lift and smooth lines and skin on the neck. It contains what StriVectin calls “Gravitite-CF Lifting Complex™” for lifting neck skin. It also employs their “secret sauce”, their patented NIA-114™ that’s in most of the StriVectin skincare products to strengthen the skin’s barrier to prevent moisture loss resulting in more hydrated delicate neck skin. StriVectin has been creating awareness about using the Neck Serum Roller and the Light Neck Cream to prevent “Tech Neck”, bending your head down to look at your mobile device and creating creases in your neck. Although I think that’s kind of funny, I do think you’re never too young to start taking care of your neck, and these products are appropriate for women of any age.
Like the serum, I would say the Light Neck Cream has a light masking scent that’s a little chemically smelling if you put your nose right into the jar. When I apply it, I smell nothing. It goes on easily and dries quickly. Big fan of the original StriVectin TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream that I am, I must admit I like the Light version even a little better! It’s easier to apply, quicker to dry and blend in, and I think it works as well as the original. Maybe if this winter were colder than it’s been so far, I’d switch back to the original richer formula for the cold weather but so far, it has been rather mild so the Light version is fine.
The jar holds 50 ml/1.7 fl. oz. and the MSRP is $95. The StriVectin line of neck products are available on the StriVectin website where you can often get a discount and free shipping and 7.5% cash back through Ebates (please sign up at the Ebates logo in my sidebar; it’s free!). In addition, StriVectin is widely available at Ulta Beauty and good department stores and online retailers. Macy’s often has sales on StriVectin, and they carry appealing starter kits. Keep your eyes open.
