Yesterday, my friend Sue asked me via email a question about what to do about her cracked fingertips. I emailed her back with a number of suggestions. In a follow-up email, she suggested that I add a place to the blog to ask beauty-related questions. I think that’s a terrific idea!
I looked into different ways of doing that. A blogger that I admire, Beautyholics Anonymous, has what she calls “Bloggie Wednesdays”, a weekly post when visitors can post any questions they want about beauty or blogging. Another way would be to add a forum to the blog. In a forum, visitors can post a question by starting a “thread” (ie a new topic) and others can answer or comment on the question. One of the benefits of a forum is that it allows you to search the topics and see if a question you have has already been asked and answered. On the downside, you usually have to register to start a new thread or to post a comment. At this point, I want to be sure that it’s easy to participate.
My solution for now was to add a page called Beauty Q&A. You can find it by going to the black heading toward the top of the blog that lists the different sections of Never Say Die Beauty. Click on Beauty Q&A and use the Comment section to post your question. Or feel free to post an answer or comment on someone else’s question.
Let’s see if this method works. If not, I’ll try something else. And I’m open to suggestions from you, too.
