Brushes that straighten hair are all the rage. I was so curious about them because they looked like they’d do less damage to my hair.
A few weeks ago, I received the ACEVIVI Digital Anti-Static Hair Straightener Brush.
There are three buttons on the front: the power on-off button and beneath it two buttons to increase or decrease the temperature signified with a plus or minus sign. Just plug in the unit, push the power button, and mine heated up in less than a minute. The heating settings are 300, 355, 375, and 390 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat is easily adjusted. I use it near the highest temperature since my hair is thick, coarse and rather frizzy though the directions suggest using the lowest setting for color-treated hair.
It’s best used on clean, dry hair. However, I have used it to touch up my hair since I don’t wash my hair everyday.
Then you just brush your hair, a section at a time, with the brush, and it straightens and the frizz goes away. I get similar results to using a flat iron although with the ACEVIVI Hair Straightener Brush, my hair is less flat, has more volume. For me, there was a bit of a learning curve. Here are some unflattering photos of me using it. (I should have put on my makeup before doing my hair, LOL!).
Here’s my hair after using the ACEVIVI Hair Straightener Brush for the very first time. I needed to learn how to better turn my hair under with it, and when I realized subsequently that it’s a just like a brush, I curved it under and it looked much better.
In terms of the amount of time it takes to use, with my thick hair, I’d say the ACEVIVI Hair Straightener Brush might take a few extra minutes than the flat iron because I have so much hair. But it seems to me that the Hair Straightener Brush is gentler and potentially less damaging to my hair because it’s not flattened between two plates.
I enjoy the ACEVIVI Hair Straightener Brush as an alternative to the flat iron. It’s a cool tool! It’s priced at $35.99 for the U.S. and 34.99 pounds for the UK. You can purchase it directly on Amazon through the ACEVIVI link here and also check out the other beauty tools that they make while you’re at it.
Is this something you would consider trying? Have you tried the Hair Straightener Brush yet? If so, what did you think?
