Science, nature and luxury come together in all the Bellatorra Skincare products. In the summer, I wrote about how much I love Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Complex, their Advanced Facial Moisturizer. It’s the perfect anti-aging moisturizer for my dry skin during the warmer months or any time of the year under foundation. It’s both lightweight and substantial, if you can imagine that. The Complex is so smooth itself, and it makes my skin feel so smooth, I practically don’t need a primer. Plus it makes my skin feel nourished.
At the end of the summer, I received Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Serum, the cream’s partner.
I’ve been using it consistently since then, and I am sad that I’m coming to the end of the bottle. Fortunately, I’ve got about a half inch left, and I estimate it will last about another month.
Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Serum works at the cellular level to repair skin damage due to environmental factors. It has a 48 hour time-released botanical and plant stem cell formula so even if I don’t wear it every day, it’s on the job. In addition, the serum stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, resulting in skin that appears more hydrated, firmer, smoother and tighter. Here’s Bellatorra’s description of the key ingredients and what they do:
- Hibiscus Bellaspheres- Encapsulated active ingredient Hibiscus Abelmoschus Extract stimulates cell renewal and collagen synthesis, increases skin density, firms, improves skin texture and corrects loss of elasticity to a greater extent than Vitamin C.
- Apple, Lentil & Watermelon Extract – Encourages the skin’s natural ability to hydrate
- Bamboo Silica, Pea Extract and Glucosamine – Increases the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid
- Malus Domestica Sprout Cell Culture – Increase vitality of epidermal stem cells
- Allantoin – Cell regeneration and deep moisturization
- Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice – Stimulates collagen, soothes and detoxifies
- Torra48 – 48 hour Advanced Delivery System
I’ve been using Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Serum for almost 6 months. I can see that it has helped lighten my sun damage (my cute freckles are just about gone and the icky dark spots are lighter). I believe it has helped my skin retain firmness that, at this age, is very important to me.
Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Serum is a lightweight, clear liqui-gel that, as you can see, comes in a pump bottle to maintain the efficacy of the ingredients. I apply one pump to my entire face. Because it’s time-released, I use it once a day. It comes in a luxurious thick glass frosted bottle just like Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Complex. They look lovely together on my vanity. Cellular Renewal Serum contains 1 fl. oz./30 ml. At $350, this is an expensive product. As I mentioned, it will last me about 6 months so that’s a little more than $50 a month. It’s sold on the Bellatorra website, and at Barney’s. I’m a big fan of Barney’s occasional beauty goody bag that requires a $250 purchase, so this may be what will put me over the top next time it comes around.
The Bellatorra Skincare family also includes Eye Cream, Exfoliating Cleanser, Cellular Renewal Masque, Uplifting Mist, and Cellular Renewal Cream. I would love to try the eye cream or the masque next 😀

Such an excellent review, Allison! This is definitely an amazing serum! I am very impressed by their line, and agree that it is perfect to make the purchase during the Barneys NY LOVE YOURSELF bag event! It’s in March this year– so you will have just enough serum left to get you through to the event!

Oh, March! That seems so soon. Thank you, Helen, for letting me know!
I think if you find a skincare product that works great for you, it’s worth the splurge. It really doesn’t matter how much you spend on cosmetics or even fancy clothes, if your skin is in terrible shape.
Well said!
I’ve splurged on a spa day that cost that much, but not a single product. I do love the ingredients though .. very natural.
Monica.
I know, Monica. It’s definitely out of reach. But I hear the Barney’s goody bag is coming out in March, and that bag is so worth getting, I’m actually thinking about it or the moisturizer, the Cellular Renewal Complex…or perfume, lol
Isn’t that bag like $150 for some amazing high end products? Can’t recall, but I may have to save up for it 🙂
M.
The one that I qualified for last September was free with a $250 purchase, and the value of the bag was about $250 or more. I think I saw one now that you can buy but it was a lot more than $150, I think. I’m hoping the bag in March will be free with purchase. It was soooo worth it.
It’s always nice to hear when an expensive product turns out to be effective, too. Great review!
Thank you! The Cellular Renewal Complex, their advanced moisturizer, is just as amazing. I’m gonna need a loan
HOLY toledo!! Even for skin care, may be too rich for my blood but that may change when I get older and put more thought into my skin care!

It really is a lot of money, Miranda! If I were working more, I’d replace this when it’s used up, but I think it’ll end up being too expensive for me too…though I really want to buy something to qualify for the Barney’s goody bag in March! We’ll see
I’m definitely too broke for this, but it does sound exceptional. It’s so great when you find something you love and works well!
Me, too, Bailey! I have stopped using the moisturizer coz I love it so much, and I’m trying to “save” it for warmer weather. The serum is seriously expensive. I would love to get another Barney’s goody bag, and this I think would more than put me over to qualify but I may end up with another moisturizer instead. #beautybloggerproblems
The hydration qualities of this seem amazing!

The serum does a wonderful job, and together with the Cellular Renewal Complex Advanced Moisturizer, they’re phenomenal. I’m just gonna need a loan to repurchase them 😉
If I ever splurge it is usually on skincare. I think that you get what you pay for.
Yes, true so much of the time! And skincare is the most important thing
It says a lot that you have used it almost completely up. I need something to help with my old acne scars.
I really love both products I’ve tried from Bellatorra and since they are sooooooooo expensive, I’ll be using every last drop of both of them 😉
I’m down for whatever will get rid of my freckles and brown spots!
Same here! This has done a good job with my freckles. I realized that the freckles I’ve had my whole life are pretty much gone, but the dark spots, tho’ faded, I need IPL to really get rid of them
Sounds like a great skincare product…I hope you can unscrew the top so you can get the last bit out! 🙂

That’s a really good tip, Ursula! I definitely will unscrew it and get the last bit!
I’ve never heard of this brand, but I like that you’ve been using it consistently for 6 months and you’re just now getting down to the last drop. That’s good, and great value.
With a serum this expensive that really does a great job, it’s definitely good to the last drop!
