I fell in love with the way Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream looked when I saw it on the Beautylish website back in April. Like many of the Too Faced products, the packaging is just soooo pretty. I had to have it. The pretty box, the sophisticated slim gold lipstick tube.
So in April, I bought Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream in Cinnamon Kiss from Beautylish. In my review, I called it lipstick heaven. I still feel that way. (If you missed my full review, here’s the link.) It’s so creamy, so hydrating, and highly-pigmented that it’s a pleasure to wear. It provides full coverage, and really covers in one swipe.
I like it so much that when I got a coupon from Ulta, I bought another shade. This time, it’s “I Want Candy”, a deep pink that’s almost but not quite a red.
It’s the kind of shade that’s great all year round. I love it: it’s fun, summery, bright but not too bright. Years ago, it was said that redheads shouldn’t wear this color. I beg to differ.
I took pictures indoors with natural light and also outdoors, though the sun added some golden tones to the shade. It’s a true deep pink. And it has a bit of a glossy look to it in the sun.
Too Faced La Creme comes in 20 shades representing pinks, reds, spices, and nudes. It’s available at Ulta, Sephora, Beautylish, and at Amazon (link at the end of the post). The MSRP is $21 for 0.11g, but check Amazon for a deal sometimes. It’s vegan-friendly, not tested on animals.
The ingredients that Too Faced emphasizes are Lotus Flower Extract for moisture and Peptides, anti-oxidants. It appears to be gluten-free, but check it against your own list of ingredients to avoid to be sure. Below is the complete ingredient list.
