Happy Labor Day to those in the U.S.! Our last big summer holiday 🙁 Hope you all enjoyed the summer wherever you are!
I know that fall has not officially arrived yet, thank goodness, but I’m sorta kinda beginning to think fall shades. To that end, I went shopping in my vast Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer Collection for my next mani, and I came up with three lovely shades of purple:
- Imperial Purple 11
- Ultra Violet 13
- Sugar Plum 14.
I did a simple mani, mostly Imperial Purple, with an accent nail on each hand with a different purple shade.
Imperial Purple is a mid-range purple cream. I think it’s a great all year round color. Here’s Imperial Purple on its own:
And here is one hand in bright sunshine with deep, metallic Ultra Violet as an accent nail:
And the other hand in more indoor light with the red-purple metallic, Sugar Plum, as an accent nail:
I adore Sugar Plum, and I plan to do a complete mani in that shade for fall.
I’ve been wearing these Milani nail lacquers for 6 days, and they’ve been chip-free till this morning. As usual, I applied them over a coat of Revlon ColorStay Basecoat, and under a topcoat of Orly Sec ‘n Dry with essence express dry drops to help it all dry faster.
Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer is widely available now on the Milani display at CVS and though I haven’t checked yet, it should be at Walgreens, Walmart and Kmart. It is also available on milanicosmetics.com. The price ranges from $3.99-$4.39 depending on where you shop. It is 3-free and made in the US.
Are you wearing purples for fall?
