Every time I’m in the checkout line at Ulta, I stare at the colorful, creative, eye-catching masks from Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven. Finally, I got to try one out for myself.
The packaging for the 7th Heaven masks kind of reminds me of the cereal boxes I used to read while eating breakfast as a kid. So much to look at and read, lol! I love the look of them. Their packaging rocks!
The 7th Heaven Coconut Cream Deep Moisture Boost Hydrating Mask smells nice, more like real coconut than like coconut baked goods. The mask is white and very creamy. I put it on and then took a bath. For me, the pouch contained enough for about two masks though I assume it was meant for one usage occasion. After I put what I thought was a thick amount on, I had to apply more because my skin appeared to drink it up. I left the mask on for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
So how did the 7th Heaven Coconut Cream Hydrating Mask work for me? My bad, because I didn’t look at the ingredients before slathering it on my face. The first two ingredients after water in the ingredient list are kaolin and bentonite.
My sometimes sensitive and seriously dry skin doesn’t do particularly well with clay at this point in my life. Even though this mask seems to include plenty of hydrating ingredients: glycerin, shea butter, coconut water, and cocoa seed butter, they couldn’t overcome my skin’s finickiness when it comes to clay. Oh well, I will give away the other two packs to someone who can enjoy them.
