I have wanted to try products from Farmhouse Fresh since I read the first review that I found online. The product names, the lovely packaging, the natural and familiar ingredients, and the heavenly fragrances sounded soooooo appealing. I was thrilled when three Farmhouse Fresh (FHF) products recently came my way:
- Pudding Apeel Tapioca + Rice Active Fruit Glycolic Mask
- Marshmallow Melt All Purpose Shea Butter Balm
- Marshmallow Melt Shea Butter Hand Cream
FHF Pudding Apeel Tapioca + Rice Active Fruit Glycolic Mask
From the minute I opened the adorable Pudding Apeel Mask jar with the pretty pink labeling , I fell in love with it. I had to use the mask immediately. The sweet, dessert-like smell and the pale pink color of the pudding- like cream were absolutely enticing. Usually anything with “glycolic” in the name makes me interested in trying it, but it also makes me think that it could irritate or sting my skin. Not this mask. In fact, I thought it was a hydrating mask.
So what’s the scoop on this girly mask? FHF Pudding Apeel resurfaces skin by exfoliating with glycolic acid and AHAs – but it’s a gentle exfoliation with no friction. I thought there were little seeds in the pudding but it is soft and smooth. Pudding Apeel is not a once in a while mask that does a major exfoliation. Instead, it’s an everyday mask that you leave on your skin for 15-30 minutes and then wash off. Pudding Apeel encourages skin cell turnover by gently exfoliating dead cells to reveal younger-looking skin. In addition, it can help control acne, help lighten dark spots from sun damage, and improve the look of aging skin. My skin feels so soft after using this mask!
This lovely mask is something you will look forward to including it in your skincare regimen because it smells so darn good! With tapioca, brown rice, green tea, honey (not vegan), coconut milk, and fruit extracts, you’ll be tempted to eat it!
Pudding Apeel is 98% natural and paraben-free. Priced at $22, the glass jar contains 3.2 fl. oz, enough for about 15 uses. I could see how this could become a habit for me!
FHF Marshmallow Melt All Purpose Shea Butter Balm
Anything named Marshmallow Melt gets my attention. I love making my own marshmallows. They are nothing like store bought, plastic marshmallows – instead, they’re light and fluffy and smell so good. The lingering sweet marshmallow scent in this balm comes from Tonka beans and sandalwood, and it is so delightful. I love using this lightweight balm that melts into my skin after a shower. It makes my skin feel so hydrated, soft and protected.
That’s how I’ve been using the Balm most often, but it truly is an All Purpose Balm and it can be used anywhere on face, hands or body where there are rough or dry spots. You can use it on dry lips, rough knees, elbows or heels. In the summer when I get my annual exfoliative keratolysis, I dab some on the peeling skin on my sore thumbs and it is very soothing.
Marshmallow Melt All Purpose Shea Butter Balm also comes in a second scent, Plum Chiffon. Both balms are 99% natural blends of shea, mango seed and cocoa seed butters, oils from coconut/soybean/apricot kernel, vitamin E, and beeswax. They both come in 1.25 oz. decorative metal tins with a pretty lid. Price $12.50.
FHF Marshmallow Melt Shea Butter Hand Cream
The girly pink metal tube of Marshmallow Melt Shea Butter Hand Cream has the lovely sweet marshmallow scent created by Tonka bean and sandalwood like the other Marshmallow Melt products. The hand cream is hydrating but not thick and heavy. Like the other FHF skincare products I received, it easily and quickly melts into my skin.
It is 98% natural as well as vegan, paraben, sulfate and cruelty-free. The key ingredients are shea and cocoa butters, jojoba seed oil, aloe, and vitamins A and E. In addition to hydrating skin, this hand cream helps improve skin’s elasticity which is great to help keep the skin on hands young-looking.
The Marshmallow Melt Hand Cream tube is definitely portable and at 2.4 oz. is perfect for travel. Yet it looks like it holds a lot of hand cream! Priced at $14, it makes a lovely gift for yourself or someone who likes to feel pampered.
