Get the Inside Scoop on Beauty for Women over 40
On Tuesday morning, I was surprised to get an email telling me that Never Say Die Beauty has a new post. Strange, because I was exhausted and didn’t write one. I clicked on the email, and as I expected, MailerLite screwed up again. Sorry about that, truly. I need to find a new delivery service …
Before I invest the time to write a new post, I want to make sure that the “Daily Campaign” algorithm will work properly to deliver what I write. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that it is working again. (fingers crossed!) In case you didn’t read my message that accompanied yesterday’s Beauty & …
Geez, this morning I got an email letting me know that NSDB had a new post. Really? Who wrote it? Then, I clicked on the email and confirmed that no, there were no new posts since last week. This was the second time at least in the past couple of weeks that MailerLite sent out …
Recently, I’ve been having trouble getting my posts written. Things are a bit unsettled these days. My youngest aunt who I felt was more like an older sister to me just passed away yesterday. Her funeral is tomorrow. The passing of a generation, the end of an era in my family. In addition, I need …
I’ve tried several times over the past few years to see the Strawberry Moon, the first full moon of summer in late June. Because it is the lowest-hanging full moon of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, it has a beautiful golden hue at moonrise . Actually, it usually appears pink-ish as it rises, just …
On Memorial Day, we remember those who passed during their service to our country. Thank you to all of them. By 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment “The Old Guard” from Joint Base Myer – Henderson Hall, Va. – 20240527-A-CI474-0068, Public Domain, LINK And we hope that all those serving now will return home safely.
Last week, one subscriber was kind enough to let me know that she hadn’t a daily post from Never Say Die Beauty in a few weeks. That was news to me! I hadn’t realized that MailerLite had stopped delivering my blogposts (although I think they still delivered the Sunday campaign of 3 recent posts). It …
April is just flying by, but I am so confused because of the cold weather. I keep thinking it’s still March. So I forgot that Earth Day is today, April 22. I realize you’ll be receiving this on Thursday, a day late. You may remember that I love hiking in the woods, so I try …
Yesterday, I read a well-researched article by Maria Godoy, Senior Editor/Correspondent at the NPR Science Desk. Although I could have summarized her article, it seemed much more sensible to publish her article so that you can read it yourself. The article also comes with live links that will allow you to follow up with additional …
Since the pandemic, the cost of just about everything has gone up. Over the past year because of the tariffs and now because of the cost of shipping due to the increase in the cost of oil, things have gone up even more. And it’s not just my/our imagination, prices have increased dramatically since 2020. …
This is the time of year when the major holidays come together. Eid has recently ended, marking the end of the month of Ramadan. Passover started last night, and this is Holy Week for Christians. Busy, busy! And a lovely way to welcome Spring with feelings of rebirth, freedom and joy. Because our Seders started …
Valentine’s Day can be a tough holiday. Not everyone celebrates it. Not everyone gets or exchanges gifts. But since some do, I thought I would make a few affordable suggestions in case you’re stumped for what to give or what to ask for. Candy, of course!: While you may have a local chocolatier that you …
How’s your new year going so far, lol? It’s still New Year Eve here now. We went out to dinner this evening at a local Thai restaurant, and the joint was jumpin’! I got somewhat dressed up, since going to Andalin Thai was all we were planning. I even put on my sparkly Olive and …
Greetings and best wishes for a Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! Hope your day is filled with love, peace and laughter today and always. The tree in the photo above is from Salem Massachusetts. But the only witch in sight is the sculpture of Samantha Stevens from Bewitched! Enjoy your day no matter how …
First, I’ve been having trouble with my website. For some reason, it thinks I’m an outsider, and often it won’t let me log in. Sorry that I haven’t been around when I’ve wanted to! Second, on Thursday, I received a letter from UPS. Frankly, I thought they were billing me ex post facto for the …
