On Tuesday morning, I was surprised to get an email telling me that Never Say Die Beauty has a new post. Strange, because I was exhausted and didn’t write one. I clicked on the email, and as I expected, MailerLite screwed up again. Sorry about that, truly.
I need to find a new delivery service before September when my year ends and the MailerLite prices go up. Whether I will have time to research other delivery services is questionable, but I will try.
Basement Reno Progress
This is the beginning of Week 3 of my basement renovation, and it is really only about two weeks since work started. But the work is coming along more quickly than I expected!
The framing of the basement is about 85% completed. Because we discovered two cracks in my basement foundation, a mason is coming on Wednesday to repair the cracks. To prepare for his arrival, I had to remove the perennials from 80% of my garden. At this stage of summer, my garden is overgrown and jammed packed with plant material.
Cleaning out the garden took me 3 days of digging. I dug out each plant and put them in pots stacked around my lawn till I figure out what to do with them. I gave some away since I split many of my plants, but there’s a lot of plant material left. What to do? And I’m beyond exhausted!
I’m excited because the old windows were removed, and double-sized windows have been ordered. The carpenters needed to be able to get to the windows where the garden was, so I needed to empty it for them. On Tuesday, they cut through the outer wall to make larger spaces for the new larger windows.
Today, Wednesday, in addition to the mason, the HVAC guy is coming to install a new trunk/conduit in the ceiling to heat and cool the new living space in the basement.
The days pass pretty quickly with so much to do. Hope all’s well with you xo
