Recently, I have had the opportunity to try Ageless Derma Stem Cell and Peptide Anti-Wrinkle Cream, an anti-aging product with state-of-the-art skincare ingredients. Ageless Derma Anti-Wrinkle cream helps supply the skin with the nutrients and plant stem cells that it needs to begin to rejuvenate and heal itself, ie to make wrinkles less deep and noticeable.
This brand was new to me, and it may be to you too. So let me tell you a little about the company, Ageless Derma, and their product line. The company’s tagline is “Ageless skin through science”, and their products are packed with ingredients developed from natural sources. Their ingredients have been tested by independent labs and have been shown to be effective. In fact, the ingredients have been mentioned in Vogue, InStyle, Organic Beauty, and New Beauty magazines. What I also like about their testing is that they test on women who actually need to take care of their skin to protect it from aging: women age 37-64. And on their website and in their brochures, they show photos of older women who have used the products (they still show a gorgeous, younger model too but that’s OK with me).
Finally, the Ageless Derma website is a good resource for information on skincare ingredients. I’ve used it to better understand ingredients in their products, and it helped educate me on ingredients in other products that I should avoid.
Ageless Derma’s skincare line consists of anti-wrinkle cream, a brightening cream (to fade age spots and hyperpigmentation — I need this product!), and eye cream to fight dark circles, puffy eyes and wrinkles. They also have vitamin/anti-oxidant-packed mineral makeup that provides broad spectrum sun protection. For those of you in California, Ageless Derma is headed by the founder of Focus Medical Spa in Anaheim.
First, the product comes in an attractive black airless pump jar — the best of all possible options. You push down on the white top, and a small amount of anti-wrinkle cream comes up. What’s in the jar stays clean without synthetic preservatives.
The website and brochure describe the benefits as follows:
- eliminates the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- improves the firmness and elasticity of skin
- removes crow’s feet
- re-energizes skin for a smoother, firmer and younger look.
What’s important and, I think, unique about Ageless Derma Anti-Wrinkle Cream is that it contains so many amazing ingredients to protect and revitalize aging skin and to fight the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I’m always trying to figure out which ingredients to look for in anti-aging products, and this one seems to have all the key ingredients plus a couple that are new to me:
- Argireline and Vialox powder, ingredients that perform in a manner similar to Botox — relaxing facial muscles — but that does not need to be injected (I’m still smiling!)
- Matrixyl 3000 and SYN-COLL peptide help stimulate the product of collagen
- PhytoCellTech Malus-Plant Stem Cell, stem cells derived by a Swiss laboratory that have been shown to stimulate skin cell growth
- Sodium Hyaluronate to help strengthen skin’s moisture barrier to keep moisture in
- Coenzyme Q-10 ubiquinone helps skin retain moisture and prevents damage to the production of collagen to help reduce fine wrinkles
- Retinol, a proven wrinkle fighter
- Green Tea extract, an anti-oxidant shown to reduce damage from the sun, not by blocking UV rays but by fighting free radicals and reducing inflammation.
The product has an unusual but pleasant scent that really appeals to me. It smells sort of like grapefruit. And it is lightweight.
The box says to apply the product to cleansed skin “mostly on crow’s feet, between the brows on the forehead”, morning and night. I also apply it to fine lines above my lips and creases around the mouth. So, I usually use Ageless Derma Anti-Wrinkle Cream in addition to my regular moisturizers, especially during the day when I need a moisturizer with SPF.
My only complaint is that the black box has grey writing on it that is difficult for my aging eyes to read except in bright light, and the product info is on the box.
That said, instead of transcribing the ingredient list, here’s a photo:
(If you are gluten-free, you may need to check into the origin of the Tocopheryl Acetate, as it can be derived from wheat, corn or soy.)
Ageless Derma is manufactured in the U.S. It is available via Amazon, DrSkinSpa -a company owned site, and its MSRP is $65 for 1 fl.oz./30mL. However, it can be purchased on the company’s website, www.agelessderma.com/anti-wrinkle cream, where there is a 25% coupon available now, making it the best deal.
I’m enjoying using the product. Because I’ve been traveling so much lately, I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks. Stay tuned! If you give this wrinkle-fighter a try, let me know how it works for you.
