Hello Sunday SPF Skincare

Hello Sunday SPF Skincare is a new-to-me brand, so I did a little research about it. The founder of Hello Sunday SPF, Amy Ford, lived in Australia, where she became aware of how important sunscreen is. In 2018 after returning to her home country, the United Kingdom, she created the skincare brand that put sunscreen front and center. Hello Sunday SPF is headquartered in London and Madrid, but it is sold in many places around the world. In the United States, Hello Sunday SPF is sold at Sephora.

The brand’s PR company sent me three of Hello Sunday SPF’s products to try out:

  • The Invisible One SPF 50
  • The One for Your Lips SPF 50
  • The Shimmer One SPF 45

All of the Hello Sunday SPF products are vegan and cruelty free!

My only complaint is that my mature eyes are having a hard time reading the packaging because they use white font against pastel backgrounds. The packaging is attractive, but every time I need to read it, I need to find my glasses or a magnifying glass. 😉 You need to be under 40, I think, to be able to read it.

Hello Sunday SPF50 The Invisible One Hydrating Face Sunscreen & Primer

The Invisible One is one of my favorite so far from Hello Sunday SPF because it is absolutely unique. In addition, I have been searching for something like this for ages: a broad spectrum facial sunscreen that is hydrating, clear and completely sinks into the skin without leaving an oily or greasy feeling behind. No kidding, applied to clean skin, the clear gel soaks in quickly and leaves behind a silky, matte canvas that doubles as a sunscreen and primer! And it doesn’t use silicones to achieve the silky, soft feeling. It plays well with my CoverFX Cream Foundation, yay!

It is listed as having no fragrance, and I don’t smell any scent when I use it. I wonder if something changed in the formula because a few women from the Sephora reviews complained back in June ’24 about a strong scent, and I certainly don’t smell anything. There is no fragrance listed in the ingredients either.

Finally, I love that this chemical sunscreen/multiphasic product has SPF 50! Plus it has other skincare ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and Microalgae to hydrate, lock in moisture, brighten, and smooth imperfections.

Hello Sunday SPF 50 The Invisible One comes in a plastic tube containing 1.69 oz./30 ml, and it is priced at $28 at Sephora. Recommended for normal, dry and combination skin.

All Ingredients: Octisalate 5%, Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 7%, Octocrylene 9%, Inactive: Acrylates Crosspolymer, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Triheptanoin, C9-12 Alkane, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Dilinoleic Acid/Butanediol Copolymer, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Vp/Eicosene Copolymer, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Pongamia Glabra Seed Oil, Bisabolol, Physalis Angulata Extract, Dunaliella Salina Extract, Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract, Tocopherol, Castor Oil/Ipdi Copolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Trihydroxystearin, Glucomannan.

Hello Sunday SPF50 The One for Your Lips Hydrating Lip Balm with Hyaluronic Acid & Squalane

Strawberry-scented, clear gel The One for Your Lips uses Shea Butter to soften and smooth as well as Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane to lock in hydration within delicate lips. Meanwhile, the SPF50 protects lips from the sun’s UVA and UVB rays.

My lips feel soft and cushiony when I wear The One for Your Lips. I wish I had had this lovely balm during the summer! But I use it now anyway when I’m outdoors. Also, it feels great over or under any of my more drying lipsticks. I reapply it throughout the day as needed.

The balm comes in an easy to use squishy tube containing 0.5 fl. oz./15 ml and is priced at $12 at Sephora.

Active Ingredients: Octocrylene 9%, Homosalate 7%, Octisalate 5%, Avobenzone 3% Inactive: Polyisobutene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Squalane, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Octyldodecanol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glyceryl Behenate, Fragrance/ Parfum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Extract, Synthetic Wax, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Physalis Angulata Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bisabolol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Propylene Carbonate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Trihydroxystearin, Glucomannan, Benzyl Benzoate.

Hello Sunday SPF 45 The Shimmer One Mineral Sunscreen Glow Stick

I feel bad that Hello Sunday sent me The Shimmer One stick because I don’t use glow sticks. Boo me.

Nevertheless, Hello Sunday SPF45 The Shimmer One is a Face and Body Mineral  Sunscreen Glow Stick with Hyaluronic Acid. You can take it to the beach (it’s reef-safe!) and apply it directly to your face or to your body. Plus the HA and the Sunflower Wax, that’s rich in the essential fatty acids/antioxidants vitamins A, D and E, moisturize and protect skin as well as lock in hydration.

The fragrance-free stick can be applied over or under makeup throughout the day for touchups.

The Shimmer One Mineral glow stick contains 0.7 oz./20 g of product. It’s sold for $22 at Sephora.

Ingredients: Active: Zinc Oxide 21.73%, Inactive: C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isostearyl Isostearate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax, Octyldodecanol, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Tribehenin, Diisostearyl Malate, Mica, Silica, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Malic Acid, Tocopherol, Physalis Angulata Extract, Isostearic Acid, Lecithin, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Caprylyl Glycol, Benzotriazolyl Dodecyl P-Cresol, Propylene Carbonate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Tin Oxide, Trihydroxystearin, Glucomannan, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491).

As you already know, sunscreen should be a year-round thing regardless of where you live. If, like me, you weren’t familiar with Hello Sunday SPF, check it out next time you’re at Sephora. Also, they sell another skincare product with SPF that I’d love to try like: Hello Sunday The Everyday One SPF 50 Face Sunscreen Moisturizer. It comes in a terrific pump bottle. For those of us who need a little more hydration, it sounds perfect to wear along with The Invisible One SPF 50 Sunscreen & Primer!

Sounds so interesting. I like that it’s fragrance free. Right now I have a lot of suncare products but when I need more I’ll look at this line.

    1. Hello Sunday’s The Invisible One SPF 50 sunscreen and primer is worth a look at Sephora for the future!
