More From Beauty Pie

I Bought This - Affiliate links

In addition to the Beauty Pie SuperLuminous Undereye Genius Corrector that I wrote about on Wednesday here, I bought a couple of additional products.

Beauty Pie Membership

As I also mentioned, I “joined” Beauty Pie for $29 in order to save a substantial amount on the Color Corrector. Beauty Pie actually has two levels of membership:

  • Starter membership: $29/year that I chose that gives you the members discount, free shipping on purchases of $75+, and the ability to order 4 times a year*
  • Beauty Pie+ membership: $59/year that has more benefits:
    • member pricing
    • Welcome gift worth $60+
    • Order as often as you want
    • Free shipping when you spend over $40
    • Anniversary gifts
    • Exclusive offers
    • Free samples on eligible orders.

To be honest, I wouldn’t pay $59 a year for a brand I hadn’t actually tried. Plus, I would have expected that the higher level membership would include free shipping, period. The limitation of ordering 4 times a year with the Starter membership seems fine since I already own so many beauty products. And most likely, I would order $75+ in the future in order to get free shipping. At any rate, I’ll see how it goes.

Plantastic Orange & Rosemary Moisturizing Body Wash

You probably know that I love scented body washes, so no surprise that I chose Plantastic Orange & Rosemary Moisturizing Body Wash. The scent is gender-neutral. I would call orange/rosemary rather invigorating but not sharp. The formula is filled with botanicals: botanicals: anti-pollution Moringa Seed Peptides, remineralizing Wild Lime Harvest Complex and Black Ferment Tea, as well as essential oils of Orange, Bergamot, Mountain Pepper, Lime, Geranium, Lavender, Rosemary and Ylang Ylang. The scent doesn’t linger on the skin after showering but certainly enhances my shower!

The body wash itself is creamy, and it soaps up very well on a poof, sponge or washcloth. My skin is never dry after using it. I really like it!

It comes in a recyclable 400 ml/13.52 fl. oz. plastic pump bottle. Member price $18.

Full Ingredient List: Aqua (Water), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice Powder, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Acrylates Crosspolymer-4, Parfum (Fragrance), Saccharomyces/Xylinum/Black Tea Ferment, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract, Moringa Oleifera Seed Extract, Citrus Glauca Fruit Extract, Microcitrus Australasica Fruit Extract, Microcitrus Australis Fruit Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Glycol Distearate, Coconut Oil Glycereth-8 Esters, Glycol Stearate, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Maltodextrin, Hydroxyethyl Ethylcellulose, Disodium Phosphate, Alpha-Terpinene, Citral, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Peel Oil, Geraniol, Lavandula Oil/Extract, Limonene, Linalool, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Terpinolene, Pinene, Linalyl Acetate, Terpineol.

If you’re not a fan of orange and rosemary, their body washes come in a variety of other complex botanical scents, but I don’t believe that they have a fragrance-free body wash. All of Beauty Pie’s body washes are cruelty-free, vegan, and free of sulfate and parabens. Made in the U.K.

Traceless Mineral SPF 30

I was looking for a lightweight, non-greasy, mineral sunscreen before we went to NYC. Beauty Pie’s Traceless Mineral SPF 30 fit the bill. It is as advertised. And it’s lightly tinted, invisible, and soaks right into my skin.

Key ingredients are:

  • micronized zinc oxide for UVA/UVB protection and that’s perfect for sensitive skin
  • niacinamide to brighten and refine pores
  • antioxidant Indian beech seed extract for shield skin from environmental stress
  • Argan oil: a non-fragrant plant oil with lipids and fatty acids as well as a source of antioxidant Vitamin E and Linoleic Acid

It comes in an attractive recyclable plastic tube containing 1.69 fl. oz. Made in the U.S. Member price $22

I like it! It’s just what I was looking for in an SPF 30 sunscreen.

The SPF sounds good as long as it doesn’t have fragrance. I prefer a body wash that doesn’t have fragrance but that’s just me.
