Since we’re already in May, I better hustle along and post my March empties. This month was a variety of products with no category in the lead.
Bath & Body
- RITUALS The Ritual of Sakura: I’ve used up yet another container of the fabulous Ritual of Sakura shower foam. The delicate scent of sakura (cherry blossom) is perfect for spring or for anytime really. I love this stuff! Recommend? Yes, it’s always a treat. Try it if you haven’t already. It comes in full size and mini/travel size.
- Cela Creme Violette: I got Cela Creme Violette Soothing Hand and Body Butter from Ipsy at least a year ago. The soft violet scent mid-weight white cream with the herb lavender and oatmeal in the formula made it a lovely skin softener. Recommend? Yes, it’s an especially nice hand cream for me, though it wasn’t quite rich enough for the very dry skin on my arms and legs. But if your skin is normal or even slightly dry, it is a luxurious hand and body cream.
Skincare
- First Aid Beauty Gentle Face Cleanser: Boy was I ever sad to use up the last container of FAB Face Cleanser that was discontinued a couple of years ago. This gentle cream lathered like a dream and left my skin feeling soft and never dry. I would recommend it heartily if it were still being manufactured.
Health & Beauty
- Radius Mint Aloe Neem Toothpaste: I like Radius non-fluoride toothpaste, and the minty flavored Mint Aloe Neem was one of my favorites. Recommend? Recently, a mom who has a website that posts about lead and other dangerous ingredients in U.S. personal care products came out with a long list of American toothpastes that contained lead. Just about every toothpaste I’ve ever heard of was on the list including one of Radius’ kids toothpastes. So it is very difficult to recommend any brand of toothpaste in the US because of harmful ingredients. BTW, the mom has her kids brush with water only.
Makeup
- Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara, travel size: A couple of months ago, I bought two travel size mascaras to try out. I absolutely loved one of them, but that was not this one. I hated Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara. It hardly showed up on my lashes, and it neither added length or volume to my lashes. Failure. Recommend? No!!
Hair
- Vegamour GRO+ Advanced Hair Serum: Even though Vegamour GRO+ Advanced seems to work well for me in conjunction with Defenage 150 Hair Follicle Serum, I wish that the Vegamour GRO+ Advanced was thicker, more viscous. It bugs me that the serum just rolls down my face rather than staying where I put it! Recommend? Because Vegamour has definitely worked for me, I do recommend trying it. However, I use it on my temples, and it might stay put on top of the head, for instance.
Beauty Tools
- unbranded tourist emery board: Two or three years ago, my friend S gave me a very cute emery board from Rockport MA as part of either my birthday or Hanukkah gift. It has Rockport’s Twin Lights (lighthouses) on one side and bikini tops and bottoms hanging on a laundry line on the other. So cute! I kept it on my desk and used it whenever I needed to file my nails. Finally, it’s used up and needs to go. Boo hoo!
Fragrance
- Berdoues Hoja de Cuba, travel size: Hoja de Cuba by Berdoues is a unisex fragrance that I received via the subscription service Scentbird. It combines warm tobacco notes with the sweet scent of Cuban tobacco fields. It features a top note of Allspice from Jamaica, enhanced by a blend of Tobacco from Turkey and Vetiver from Haiti. The scent a somewhat tropical edge, starting with an intriguing allspice-heavy opening before settling into a smooth, slightly vanillic phase. Although I am not usually a fan of tobacco-forward scents, I do like this one because the spice definitely overwhelms the tobacco. Recommend? If you like these key notes, you may like this one too. I do like it but not enough to buy a full-size bottle. However, it seems to be difficult to come by. Other than on eBay, I can’t find where it is sold.

I just got the Vegamour hair serum today. I like their gummies for hair and there was a deal for the full size gummies and the hair serum for less than just the gummies. I wonder if I’ll like it.
I have a huge list for empties in April but I can’t really remember what I used up in March other than a mini mascara and a brown liquid eyeliner.
I am very curious to see what you think of the Vegamour serum. LMK
That perfume sounds dreamy!
But so difficult to find!!!
