Meanwhile, tonight the aurora borealis was visible from my neighborhood. It was freezing out there, but I put on my parka and went out to check the sky. The clouds had cleared, and I could see that something was going on: a pinkish, purplish hue. These are the photos I took before my iPhone reset itself and stopped cooperating.
And here’s a really bright photo that my friend Laura took from her house that was higher up the hill around the corner.
The aurora is supposed to be even stronger tomorrow night, so Laura and I are going to go out to find it!
Did you see the aurora tonight? Could you see it with the naked eye where you are, or did you need a camera? Pretty cool any way you can see it.
