Fairy Princess Mani

I was inspired by a mani that I saw on Facebook to create my own version of what I’m calling my fairy princess mani.  Maybe it’s more appropriate for an 8 year old, but I don’t care. I love it, and I think it’s so pretty, sparkly and girly.

After applying my usual Revlon ColorStay base coat, I applied two coats of essie Spaghetti Strap. Spaghetti Strap is a great shade for a French manicure. Frankly, it was a little sheerer than I actually wanted. I may look for a cream in shell pink for the next time.

Then I applied clear polish in a random pattern with a fan brush at the base of my nail using an inexpensive little  nail tools kit – Fing’rs Art Box Extreme Nail Art Kit – that I bought at Bed Bath & Beyond for $7.99, and I used my 20% off coupon to buy it.

Next, I cleaned off the fan brush, dipped the brush in Splash Nail Art Glitter and applied it over the clear polish.

Finally, I applied Deborah Lippmann Topcoat.

The mani lasted more than a week, and I hated to take it off!

What do you think? Can I pull it off? Would you wear it?
