Get The Holiday Glow: Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Highlighter

About a month or so ago, I panned Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Blush (reviewed here).

I had been on the hunt for the Butter Highlighter, but couldn’t find it and thought that the two would be close to equivalent. No way.

In spite of my experience with the Butter Blush, I found the Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Highlighter at CVS recently and gave it a try. Glad I did!

It has the same wonderful coconut scent that the Butter Blush has, and it has the same amazing, spreadable texture. This stuff is buttery heaven! Not a powder. Not a cream. But a soft cream-to-powder similar to the consistency of the ColourPop original eye shadows: softish and bouncy but not a true cream.

And that’s where the similarity to the failed Butter Blush comes to an end. Unlike the Butter Blush that had little to no pigmentation, the Butter Highlighter has just the right amount of pigmentation IMHO. At this age, I can’t do too much shine or glitter, and Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter doesn’t go overboard. One swipe and it catches the light and gives me a pretty glow.

It comes in four shades: rose gold, pink, champagne, and pearl. I bought pink, and it is super pretty – though I probably should have branched out and bought pearl since I already own about 5 pink highlighters.

    1. Tamanna, I am embarrassed to say that I still own the Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Highlighter that I bought literally a million years ago. It hasn’t spoiled, and it’s still usable though I can’t remember when I used it last. Yet I can’t throw it away!
