One of the things that bugs me is the droopy skin on my upper arms. I used to lift weights at least three times a week back in the day. But my unfinished basement has been detrimental to me continuing that formerly good habit. I still have my weight bench and my bar, though the weights for the bar are piled up on the floor. Frankly, after years of not working out with weights, I’ll be lucky if I can just lift the bar on its own! I really need to show some discipline and start from scratch again to get my upper arms in better shape.
But in the meantime, I was sent new Imagine Dermatology CelluSolution Caffeine Shaping Cream to try out for smoother skin. Why not give it a go?
Imagine Dermatology launched new CelluSolution Shaping Cream toward the end of August. I’ve been using the cream off and on for about 6 weeks. CelluSolution is a rich, white cream formulated with key ingredients: caffeine, guarana, licorice, and niacinamide.
5% Caffeine powers this cream by:
- providing antioxidant properties: Caffeine contains antioxidants can help protect the skin from free radical damage that can lead to premature aging, wrinkles, and fine lines
- reducing inflammation: Caffeine has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated or inflamed skin conditions
- improving blood circulation and reducing puffiness: Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor that constricts blood vessels to improve blood circulation to the skin. Better circulation can help skin appear smoother, more radiant and younger-looking
- reducing the appearance of cellulite: Studies suggest that caffeine may help reduce the appearance of cellulite by stimulating fat breakdown, e.g. fat melting = smoother skin
5% Niacinamide works to:
- hydrate skin and strengthen skin’s barrier to improve its ability to retain moisture and protect it from irritants
- provide anti-inflammatory effects to reduce inflammation
- smooth skin: reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen production to improve skin elasticity
- brighten and produce a more even skin tone and texture by inhibiting melanin production to reduce hyperpigmentation and dark spots
- provide antioxidant protection to protect skin from free radical damage that contributes to aging skin
Imagine Dermatology CelluSolution Shaping Cream was created specifically for areas such as arms, thighs and the midsection of the torso to help skin look smoother and more taut. The cream is perfect to apply to those areas of the body after a shower to help hydrate, smooth and tighten.
It comes in an easy to use pump container that maintains the efficacy of the cream.
For the fragrance-lovers among us, it has a captivating scent of vanilla, pistachio, almond, and caramel. In fact, its scent is reminiscent of the tropics. While I am a fan of those fragrance notes, to be honest, I would have preferred if it were fragrance-free so that I could use the product more frequently or on a regular basis. Because the fragrance takes a while to dissipate, I can’t wear the perfumes that I love because the cream’s scent interferes with them. Boo. When I mentioned that drawback for me to my contact at the company, he said that he recommended a fragrance-free version and that it will hopefully be their next introduction. Yay!
Imagine Dermatology CelluSolution Shaping Cream comes in a 5 fl. oz. pump bottle good for about 150 usage occasions. Affordably priced, it is currently sold on the Imagine Dermatology website at a launch price of $14.97, discounted 25% from the regular price of $19.97. CelluSolution Shaping Cream is a clean beauty product, vegan, free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates, and mixed, filled and tested in the U.S. It can be purchased on Amazon as well as on the Imagine Dermatology website.
Because of the scent, I haven’t used this lovely cream as religiously as I had intended to so I can’t truly attest to its efficacy as a skin smoother and tightener. However, it does very well at giving me soft, hydrated skin. I look forward to the scent-free version of CelluSolution Shaping Cream at some point in the future. But in the meantime, it’s back to the weight bench for me to tighten those arms!
