It’s been a seemingly long time since I got Korres Golden Krocus Hydra-Filler Plumping Cream. I got it by redeeming my Korres points. It appealed to me because of its plumping benefit.
Here’s the product description on the Korres website:
- Smooths fine lines and wrinkles
- Reveals natural glow
- 48 hour plumping hydration
- 100% of users saw an instant glow in their skin immediately.
- 100% of users saw an improvement of fine lines and wrinkles after 28 days.
- 97% of users said their skin looked like they got a collagen boost after 28 days.
However, I don’t know what their sample size or composition was, so we’ll have to take it with a grain of salt, so to speak.
Korres Golden Krocus Hydra-Filler Plumping Cream employs the following key ingredients:
- Greek Saffron Extract – Rich in crocins, powerful antioxidants found in Krocus flowers. Contains one-day fresh saffron extract.
- Beta-Glucan Polysaccharide – Deeply hydrates while supporting skin’s natural defense against external aggressors.
- Natural Hexapeptide-11 – The first natural polypeptide clinically shown to double skin elasticity in 4 weeks.
- Amino Acids + Copper Complex – Firms, plumps, and smooths the look of wrinkles.
The product is made up of 94.6% natural ingredients.
My Experience with Korres Golden Krocus
When I received this moisturizer, I used it right away. It may have been during the heat of summer. I believe I remember thinking that it would be a good winter moisturizer, so I put it away. After I finished using a different Korres moisturizer, I decided to take this one out again to give it a real chance.
The first thing that I notice every single time I take the top off of the jar is the fragrance. Unfortunately, I hate this scent. Initially, it is strong, a combination of saffron and herbs. Thank goodness, the scent dissipates after I apply it. Nevertheless, it can be off-putting. This is definitely not an anti-aging cream for Marcia or anyone else who is sensitive to fragrances.
The cream itself is a mid-weight cream with a fluffy feel to it. Delightful actually. It sinks into my skin quickly.
Though Korres talks about a glow, on me the cream leaves a natural finish. Importantly, it is certainly hydrating, and it does have a plumping effect that helps at least some of my lines and wrinkles seem less apparent.
Actually, I like this anti-aging moisturizer a lot…except for the scent. For me, however, the fragrance is enough to become a deal-breaker. I am two-thirds finished with the jar, but I don’t intend to buy another in spite of its useful benefits.
