Although the temperature is 27•F this afternoon, the howling wind makes it feel like 5•! After temperatures above 32• yesterday that occurred in the aftermath of the snowstorm (we got another 8″ on top of what we had before), some of the snow melted. The subsequent plunging temperatures made everything freeze. My 75 foot walkway and my long driveway are encased in ice. Ugh, but that’s February in New England.

The Packaging
Perhaps in order to keep the price of their fab skincare products affordable, I think #OOTD uses stock packaging. The Peptide Barrier Cream comes in an airless pump jar that is typically an excellent way to package any facial skincare product. An airless pump keeps out air and bacteria from fingers etc. so that the product retains its efficacy. You push down on the top, and the cream comes up through the small hole.
Unfortunately, the pump in my jar doesn’t work. I have tried repeatedly to figure out what’s preventing it from pumping, but it won’t work. So I have had to resort to using a skincare scoop to dole it out. No problem, but I would prefer to use the airless pump.
My tubes of #OOTD H+ Intensive Hydrating Serum both had clear plastic tops covering the airless pump. Unfortunately, when I took the tops off when using the serums, I put them on my sink’s vanity and they got knocked over and rolled off onto my tile floor and broke. Oh well, not such a problem because the pumps still work, and I can live without the top cover.

Honestly, this product is such a bargain at less than 50% of the regular price.
