City Beauty is launching Gentle Glow Nourishing Cleanser today. First, City Beauty has been introducing some new colors to its packaging. Gentle Glow Nourishing Cleanser comes in a periwinkle outer box with a periwinkle pump bottle inside.
I, for one, really like the new shade that was introduced previously with the Brightening Eye Creme. The midnight blue isn’t going away. CB just thought they could use a little change.
Gentle Glow Nourishing Cleanser is a clear gel that when introduced to damp skin produces a light foam. The cleanser is a lightweight cleansing solution that removes dirt, oil, and makeup to help balance the skin, leaving the skin soft and smooth. The gel formula hydrates the skin and leaves it glowing and looking healthier without stripping away natural oils. I had been using another foaming cleanser that came in one of my recent Ipsy boxes, and while it was great for washing away gardening dirt and grime, after I switched to City Beauty Gentle Glow, I realized that the other cleanser was leaving my skin squeaky clean but without any natural oils or softness. Now my skin is clean but not tight, feeling soft to the touch.
City Beauty Gentle Glow Nourishing Cleanser is perfect for addressing skin issues such as:
- dullness
- dryness
- uneven skin tone
- enlarged pores.
The cleanser has a light fragrance that they call “Refreshing Pistachio”. I think pistachio is having a moment lately, and this cleansing gel has a sweet, calming fragrance that I find relaxing. I can definitely smell the scent if I sniff the pump or the gel itself in my hand, but once it’s on my skin I don’t smell it at all. Since I love the fragrance, I wouldn’t mind if I could smell it as I cleanse my skin! Nevertheless, if you can’t tolerate fragrance in skincare products, this one isn’t for you.
I use 1 or 2 pumps of Gentle Glow to wash my face morning and before bed. It’s a lovely first step in my skincare routine.
The key ingredients in Gentle Glow Nourishing Cleanser include:
- Biogenic Sallic Blend to remove impurities and leave skin with a smoother appearance (This ingredient is a new one to me!)
- Ceramide Complex Blend to strengthen the skin’s barrier and hydrate the skin leaving it looking and feeling plumper and softer
- Apple Fruit Extract is an antioxidant-rich extract that contains Vitamins C and E to protect and refine skin, making it look more radiant
- Black Leaf Extract, also an antioxidant-powered extract, that soothes skin, protects against environmental stressors, and reduces signs of aging
What it doesn’t contain are the following:
- gluten
- mineral oil
- parabens
- phthalates.
