Because I’ve been trying to get my gardens in order, I haven’t been wearing nail polish very often. As a result, some of my nails broke while digging or using a variety of gardening tools. Boo.
Even though I have more to do, I decided to paint my nails this weekend. I ordered a few Olive and June polishes months ago, and I figured I better use them!
I chose “Our House“, a cool-toned, creme opaque, long-lasting polish that O&J describes as “steely grey”. In fact, I would describe it as a pale grey-green. I think it’s a twist on a pastel.
I preceded “Our House” with O&J Nail Strengthener that I sorely needed (oh, I just discovered that they have an Advanced Nail Strengthener!). Next, I applied two coats of the polish that went on smoothly and easily. Then, I followed up with O&J Super Glossy Top Coat. I will add another coat of Super Glossy Top Coat every couple of nights to help the polish last longer. I usually get a week to 10 days with O&J’s long-wearing polishes.
Finally, I added a drop of O&J Dry Drops to each nail. After doing that, my polish dries completely in about 5 minutes or less! Love that!
Here’s how “Our House” looks:
I know grey-green might not be for everyone, but I think it suits me 🙂
Olive and June polishes and nail care products are sold on the Olive and June website as well as at local Walgreens, Target, CVS (18 colors listed on their website), and Walmart retailers and online. O&J polishes are 15-free, vegan and cruelty-free. They also have wonderful fan brushes that make application a cinch!
What’s on your nails today?
