Surprisingly, this “large” Grace Doctor bag doesn’t look large. It’s not overpowering on my 5 foot tall frame. I adjust the strap to the shortest size, and the bag hits just above my hip.
The leather is pebbled but also soft to the touch. There is no exterior pocket, but there is a large interior pocket that goes along the length of the bag – a good place to store my phone.
Like all Portland Leather bags, it is unlined. (Truth be told, I prefer Latico Leathers’ interior lining to the unlined interior just from an aesthetic standpoint, but it doesn’t stop me from purchasing Portland Leather.)
The Grace Doctor bag has a secure zipper closure. The bag comes in 9 colors ranging from neutrals like black, dark brown, medium orangey-brown, weathered brown, yellow, green, teal, red, and plum/purple.

Both brands, Portland Leather and Latico Leathers, are big brands among Millennials and Gen Z folks as well as among those older and younger! I love them both. I love Portland Leathers’ colors and simple styles, and I love Latico’s interior lining and outer embellishments. They are both worth considering for gifts and for yourself!
