I am the Bar Soap Queen. As much as I like shower gels, I don’t think they clean as well as soap. They probably do clean as well, but I just haven’t gotten there yet. So, I always like to keep a bar of soap in my shower. And people who know me, know that!
Jeff’s older daughter gave me a bar of fragrant, handmade Bull City Cider Soap from Little Homestead Farm in Durham NC as part of my holiday gift. Last week, I finished up a travel size bar of Molton Brown soap from The Churchill Hotel in Washington DC. Now I was ready to dig in to the bar of Bull City Cider Soap.
The first thing I noticed about Bull City Cider Soap is the delectable aroma. Bull City Cider is a Durham NC (like Bull Durham) hard cider beverage created by Bull City Ciderworks.

Little Homestead Farm collaborated with Bull City Ciderworks on the Bull City Cider Soap, crafting it with their Semi-Dri Cider called “Off Main”. Honestly, the soap smells like fresh pressed apple cider!

“This bar is made with Bull City Cider Works Cider. The natural sugars in the sweet cider adds to bubbly lather. The red swirled bar smells like fresh picked crisp apples.”
What I missed initially was the rooster logo that is carved into the bar! Such a cute detail.

The soap sort of looks like an apple with the off-white portion representing the inside of the apple and the red/burgundy “skin” on the top. It lathers well and doesn’t strip the oils from my skin.
It’s a lovely body soap, and it certainly does smell divine! Like being in an apple orchard in the autumn, yum.

Bull City Cider Soap is a 4.5 oz. natural soap bar and is priced at $8. It’s sold on the Little Homestead Farm website, along with other varieties of soap, gender-neutral facial and body skincare products, beard oil, solid shave soap, solid shampoo and hair conditioning bars, lotion bars, themed gift sets, baby products, bath products, rainbow Pride products, CBD/hemp body products, and home products like dish soap/room spray/laundry powder etc.
Next time Jeff and I visit his daughter and son-in-law who live in the area, I need to visit the Little Homestead Farm!
