I have used a million brands of lash curlers over the decades. In addition to Revlon and Maybelline, I have used Tarte, Kevyn Aucoin, Shu Uemura, Japonesque Heated Curler, and even the popular Shiseido. They all managed to curl my lashes well enough but none curled them a lot better than others.
Even though this was one of the few products not on sale during the run-up to the holidays, I went for it anyway after eyeing it (pardon the pun) for a long time. The C Curl Lash Curler.
The C Curl Lash Curler is a simple build on the traditional lash curler. They have inserted a piece of silicone to the device with the bottom attached to the lower part that goes outside the upper part trapping the lashes against the outer part.
Instead of crimping the lashes at the base, it produces a C curl rather than an L crimp/curl. The lashes look like a swoop.
I have straight lashes that do take a curl from a lash curler, but I have had good luck using the C Curl Lash Curler. Avoiding the dreaded crimp is a boon for me. The C Curl Lash Curler does seem to give me a longer lasting curl.
The way you’re supposed to use it is a little different, like this:
- You start by pushing your lashes with a lashcomb or with your finger toward your nose.
- Insert your lashes into the device the way you would with almost any lash curler. Again, the lashes are held in place by the silicone strip.
- Next, open the curler just a little bit and lift up the curler and point it toward your eye by lifting the lash curler up to curve the lashes.
- Hold the curler in place for 12-14 seconds and then release. Nice curved and curled lashes should result.
The C Curl Lash Curler works for me! The lifting of the curler and holding it for longer than I typically did with my other curlers seems to make a difference for my lashes. Unfortunately, I can’t get my iPhone camera to get a decent photo of my lashes, so I can’t show you my lashes.
Nevertheless, if you haven’t been satisfied with the curl on your lashes, I recommend you give The C Curl Lash Curler a try. And it would make a good gift for the friend or family member that’s struggling with curling their lashes.

It’s interesting that we both bought this. I still need to practice when I have more time and I’m not rushing. I think I got the mascara too when I bought it but I have a stash of mascaras to use before I’ll use it and see how it works with the UCurl.
