Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions

I’ve been using Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions for several years off and on.

It’s a tubing mascara that adds both length and volume to lashes especially when applying more coats to lashes while they’re still wet. I think Thrive is the best tubing mascara there is.

It has a nice pyramidal wand with plastic teeth that separate lashes, and the mascara doesn’t clump, flake or smudge. It can be removed with just warm water, though I often use either oil or micellar water since I am removing more than just the mascara.

Thrive claims that the water-resistant mascara can be worn for up to 36 hours. So I guess if you forget to remove your mascara before going to sleep, you might not wake up looking like a raccoon, though I don’t recommend it 😉

Liquid Lash Extensions comes in 6 shades. For the holidays, Thrive has introduced two of their favorite shades Bryn/Rich Black and Crystal/Brown-Black in specially decorated tubes. Other shades include Nola/Deep Blue, Elena/Berry Brown, ShantaQuillette/Pink, and their newest shade, Whitney/Charcoal Grey.

Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions contains a lash conditioner, Orchid Stem Cell Complex, that helps develop healthier lashes. Plus when wearing Liquid Lash Extensions, lashes feel soft and natural rather than crispy and stiff .

Vegan and cruelty-free Thrive Causemetics are made without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or synthetic fragrance.

New “Whitney”: Charcoal Grey

Because I sometimes find that black can look a little harsh, I decided to buy Whitney to try it out. I often wear Victoria Beckham Sea Grey eyeliner as well as grey or silver eyeshadow, and I think grey makes my blue-grey eyes look a little bluer.

So far, so good with the Thrive Charcoal Grey mascara. I think that especially for daytime, grey is a much better shade for me. Here’s what it looks like:

Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions is priced at $26 for a 0.38 oz. tube. Unfortunately, they don’t make a mini. If you subscribe for regular delivery of any of their products, you get free shipping. Thrive Causemetics is sold only through their website.

I’m off and on about Thrive too. I need the black though to help my eyes stand out behind my glasses. It’s nice to see that they have different colors though since everyone makes black and few make colors.

    1. That makes sense that you want black mascara to show outside your glasses. And yes, very few brands still make colors. Dior makes a couple. Jouer used to but I never see that brand around. The grey definitely works for me especially for everyday wear.

  2. I used Thrive for several years, and then it seemed like the tubes dried out so much faster. I read somewhere they had changed their formula. I’m really interested in trying the grey color. I also double checked to make sure it doesn’t contain any prostaglandins because those caused my dry eyes. I had to throw out two full tubes of lash serum (not from Thrive) because of that.
