After a long busy day, my face felt dirty. So I went shopping in my cosmetic stash. I came up with TonyMoly Green Tea Skin Purifying Sheet Mask, a sheet mask that I think I received from a PR person a couple of years ago. Or else I bought it myself at H-Mart a while back.
There’s a trend going on here for me: green tea. Green tea is one of my favorite natural ingredients. Benefits associated with green tea in skincare products include:
- calms redness, irritation or sensitive skin
- filled with antioxidants, green tea extract is known for gently purifying and cleansing stressed or tired skin
- hydrates and balances skin
When I opened the Green Tea Mask, I was surprised that the mask still had so much of the essence inside even though it was a couple of years old. I took out the mask and unfolded it. It was a little tricky to unfold, and it ended up with a small tear that didn’t affect wear at all.
After cleansing my skin, I applied the mask. Per usual, the mask was a little big for my face, but I made do. Certainly a very attractive look 😉
Next, I decided to watch TV while the mask did its thing. You’re supposed to leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Initially, that seemed like a long time, but when the timer I set for 20 minutes went off, I decided to continue to lie on my bed and relax for another 10 minutes.
Next, I removed the mask and rubbed in the remaining essence and added some of what was left inside the package. Once it dried, I decided to add my nighttime moisturizer to give my skin a deep overnight hydration. I feel very hydrated!!
TonyMoly I’m Green Tea Mask, a 3-ply pulp K-beauty and clean beauty sheet that’s soaked in enriched natural essences, does have a light scent that disappears. But if you are “scent-sensitive”, you may want to pass on this mask.
TonyMoly I’m Green Tea Sheet Mask is widely available at Ulta, Amazon, Macy’s, and on the US TonyMoly website where you have to buy at least 2 masks. I think I have seen the TonyMoly sheet masks at H-Mart, too. The price is about $3 per mask. Now, they’re on sale at Ulta and Amazon for $2.81, not that a few cents is worth going out of your way for 😉
