In case any of you are interested in the Pura4 Diffuser system, I discovered something about it the hard way. Thus, I want to mention it.
The Pura4 Diffuser was very easy for me to set up via the phone app. I scheduled it to diffuse from 11:30-midnight every night. It worked very well from Sunday night when I set it up till tonight when I decided to turn it on early. Instead of the blue light I had come to expect from it, it was blinking green at the top and red from the bottom. Nice color combo, especially for this season, right? Wrong.
I determined from searching the internet that the green and red blinking combo is a warning that something is wrong. When I checked the Pura app, it told me that the diffuser was offline. It didn’t tell me why. It gave me an option to Troubleshoot the problem in the phone app. Essentially, it suggested I check to see if the app needed to be updated. After 4 days, no it doesn’t. I am running the latest version.
Then I spent an hour or more trying to unplug it and reconnect it. I tried holding the Reset button, but that didn’t work. I tried different outlets throughout the upstairs of my house including my office where my network router is located. Still no luck.
I kept searching online, and the most promising bit of info is that the Pura4 Diffuser requires a 2.4 gHz router connection.
About a month ago, I complained to Xfinity about a slew of issues I had, the biggest being my monthly bill of $350+ and my glacial connection to the internet even with the new router I bought at Best Buy. In return, they provided me with an Xfinity router (after I could no longer return the router I bought in September). The Xfinity router gives me a much faster download speed and a better upload speed, and that is great. But I didn’t and don’t know what band the router runs on: 2.4 gHz or 5 gHz. I looked on the router itself, but the tag with information didn’t list the bandwidths. I tried calling Xfinity to ask someone if they could tell me, but I could not get through to a human to ask the question.
So I continuing searching online, and supposedly Xfinity routers have both bandwidths. I don’t understand how the Pura4 Diffuser managed to connect to my network via the Xfinity router for 4 days but failed tonight.
Tomorrow I will try calling Pura support that closes at 5pm MST. I don’t have much hope that the person I will speak to will be able to tell me how to solve my problem. I’m sure they will say, “Call Xfinity”. So I think I maybe returning my Pura4 Diffuser and going back to my diffuser with water, boo.
So if you are considering Pura4 Diffuser, make sure you know if you have a 2.4 gHz router!

Yikes! You can’t seem to escape tech problems!
You can say that again, Gabrielle! I am going to have to return the Pura4 Diffuser because it won’t connect to my wifi network. And now I can’t seem to connect my network and also my printer. I am losing my mind, for real
