After almost 15 years of blogging, the tides have turned. TikTok rules, and many have moved on.
I still enjoy writing, though it’s not as easy for me as it was before my stroke. Sometimes I just can’t think of a word I’m searching for, but never mind, right? And I still like reading. I don’t always have the patience to sit through videos. For the time being, writing and reading are still for me.
Nevertheless, the beauty industry has moved on, along with the 25-45 year old to TikTok. So PR samples for this blogger have become fewer and farther between. That said, I can’t afford to run out and buy cosmetics for everyday reviews.
Frankly, my days that are currently spent figuring out what to do with all of the stuff from my basement, checking in with the contractor who is just starting work, and getting outside whenever I can to take care of my overgrown garden, mow my lawn or just go for a walk or hike. As a result, my opportunities for wearing a full face of makeup are less frequent, plus it’s been too darn hot! All of this introduction is to say that my days of aiming for writing a blogpost almost every single day are at an end. I just don’t have enough time or stockpiled products to fill the calendar.
But when I have a product that I want to review or something that I want to say, I will do it. It just won’t be as frequent as in the past.

Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milk
Back in April, I went into Sephora to pick up my VIB birthday gift, and of course, I picked up a couple of items. I think I received a few minis as part of my gift. Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milk was one of them.
As you may recall, I’m a fan of K-beauty as well as a fan of the Innisfree brand. Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milk is part of the “green tea collection” along with the Hydrating Toner with Green Tea Seed.
Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milk is a skin barrier essence. It’s a lightweight, fast-absorbing, milky toner that hydrates skin in 3 seconds! Actually, it really does. It repairs skin’s moisture barrier and also preps your skin for makeup.
The key ingredients include:
- Super Green Tea: Liposome-processed green tea that provides deep hydration and antioxidant protection.
- Green Tea Ceramide: Helps replenish, soothe, and strengthen a compromised skin barrier.

Kim, I used the Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milk this morning after cleansing, and I didn’t experience any stickiness. In fact, I just felt my face and still no stickiness. I’m going to buy the 90 ml size for winter when my skin gets really dry. (Hope you are doing well! Talk soon!)
I like using a toner, but it’s so hard to find one without a lot of alcohol in it. This sounds really good. I didn’t know you had had a stroke. I hope your recovery continues. Like you, I really like blogging so much more than Instagram or TikTok. I never got on TikTok and hope to avoid doing so. I will continue to read your blog whenever you post!
Hi Marsha, I use different toners during the day always. They help skincare products do their job better. And there are oodles of toners without alcohol. My faves are: TonyMoly The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Skin, Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milk, and b. glen QuSome Lotion Moisture Concentrate. I think you and I grew up on toners with alcohol e.g. Bonne Bell and Neutrogena etc. for teenage skin! Now, there are many more options. Glad to know that you’re a die-hard blogger, too!! Because I have a big construction project going on at my house right now, I haven’t been writing blogposts or reading blogs like I usually do.
