After 76 days or almost 11 weeks, the bottle of Les Bras de Morphèe EDP by Hellenist that I ordered from a retailer in France finally escaped from U.S. Customs and the UPS warehouse in Philadelphia and was delivered to me. Finally.
Strangely enough, yesterday, I received a bill from UPS telling me that I owed an additional $2 in Brokerage fees (meaning they were charging me “rent” for holding my package). Meanwhile, the invoice for $2 was delivered on 11/4, two days after the due date of 11/2. The letter was supposedly issued on 10/22. And that was after I had already paid $22.50 in tariff costs and $45 in Brokerage fees. Ugh. What a mess the government has made with these foolish tariffs that are being passed along to us as consumers.
At any rate, I am happy to have my perfume. Hopefully, the two full size bottles that I now own will last me till the tariffs go away.
Fragrance Passion also sent me 3 small perfume samples, one of which broke during shipping. Too bad because that was the sample I was most eager to try, but no matter. I’m just glad to have the package.
Fragrance Passion, the retailer in France actually did try to be helpful. If the tariffs go away some day, and France decides to ship packages to the U.S. again, I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with Fragrance Passion again.
But at this point, I’m done with buying fragrances for quite a while.
I’m just glad the darn package finally arrived! But oy this tariff mess! It’s a travesty!
