I’ve been on the hunt to replace my favorite navy blue canvas wedge shoes from Grasshoppers for months. I have had them for at least 3 years or maybe longer, and I wore them to death. In fact, the navy blue canvas on the sides of the shoes faded from the sun! Although Grasshoppers still has a website, it looks like they were selling through Amazon somewhat recently. But now, everything from Grasshoppers on Amazon is listed as “Currently Unavailable”. I think Grasshoppers is out of business. Sad.

Nevertheless, I finally prevailed. I found several new replacements. Among them, the comfy casual canvas shoes from LifeStride are my current faves. LifeStride Goody Slip-Ons (Style #79399) comes in 4 colors:
- black fabric (the color I currently own)
- navy fabric
- beige fabric
- whiskey tan leather fabric (I’m not quite sure what “leather fabric” is but it sounds interesting).
While the black fabric shoes are currently returnable through the LifeStride website, the other three colors that are deeply discounted are final sale. I bought size 6.5M, my regular size, and they fit me well.
Because I love these slip-ons, and I’m concerned that they may not be available next year, I am considering of buying a backup pair in navy. Although the black Goody Slip-Ons are on sale for $59.99 on the LifeStride website, the other three colors are now priced at $32. I bought my shoes at Nordstrom Rack about 6 weeks ago, and I believe I paid $49.99 for them at the time of purchase. In addition, they seem to be available at a variety of stores/online at various price at Macy’s, Famous Footwear, Target, Walmart.com, Kohl’s, and Belk.
