On Friday, Jeff, his older daughter and I went to Boston’s Museum of Science. The joint was certainly jumping because it was school vacation. But actually, it was great to see so many kids and parents at the museum. The kids were very engaged with all the exhibits, and so were we! Especially important and meaningful when the government is cutting funding for science and education.
Although we had planned to also visit the planetarium, the machine that would show us the stars was being repaired, boo. So instead, we went to the IMAX theater at the museum and saw a short movie, Deep Space, about the James Webb Space Telescope. The photos that JWST sent back to earth were beyond incredible. We had closeup views of “cliffs” in deep space where stars were being born! We saw another photo of three galaxies colliding.
I hadn’t been to the Museum of Science in more than 20 years, and wow, had it changed!
