We had a quiet New Year’s Eve. The friends who we often celebrate with have moved, and we went out to dinner on Christmas Eve. So I decided to make what I thought was going to be a prime rib roast that Jeff loves, but it turned out to be a New York strip roast. It was good and celebratory anyway, since we don’t eat beef very often.
