It’s Paula’s Choice’s anniversary: 31 years (although the company is owned now by L’Oreal, I believe). Nevertheless, I think their products are still or even more wonderful.
The Anniversary Sale offers 30% off and free shipping.
I decided to take advantage of the discounts and order a few things:
- I was sent Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Gloss Balm Lip Treatment for review a while ago. I finished up my first tube of the clear Lip Treatment, and I’ve started on the next tube. You may not believe this, but I’ve kind of given up my long-time former fave City Lips Clear, and instead I use Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Gloss Balm Lip Treatment. My lips feel hydrated and they look plumped. I bought another tube to keep in my stash.
- 7% Ectoin + Hyaluronic Acid Milky Hydrating Serum has been a home run for me since I received a travel size mini bottle when it first launched about a year ago. I liked it so much after first trying it (my skin feels so much more hydrated when I use it) that I ordered two more travel size bottles, and then I ordered a full size. Tonight, I ordered another full size. Love this stuff!
- Although I’ve used RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 for several years in the past, my skin became too dry for it because it has the consistency of a lightweight lotion. While I’ve been using other sunscreens over the past couple of years, I decided to try RESIST Skin Restoring Moisturizer with SPF 50 that is more appropriate for my mature, dry skin. Because it’s a chemical sunscreen and I have mostly switched to mineral sunscreens, I ordered a travel size just to try it.

- Very few products on the website actually receive a 5 star review. There are lots of 4 stars, 4.5 stars, but few 5s. SKIN PERFECTING 6% Mandelic Acid + 2% Lactic Acid Liquid Exfoliant was the one product I found with a perfect score. I decided to read some of the customer reviews, about 100 reviews out of 700. Among those reviewers who mentioned specific benefits that they enjoyed, they listed: gentle exfoliation, smoother skin, tightened pores, noticeably lightened or dark spots that disappeared over time, fewer blemishes/less acne. So many of the reviewers begged Paula’s Choice never to discontinue the product. As a result of the glowing reviews about consistently positive results, I decided to order a travel size bottle. I’ll let you know what I think.
I saved more than $25 in my order of 2 full size and 2 travel size products, and I got free shipping. Two favorites and two new-to-me products. Yay!

My esthetician daughter turned me on to the lip-plumping gloss in December, and I love it! I especially like the less sticky, not-so-gloppy texture. And I’m going to try the 5-star exfoliant, since I love their regular exfoliating toner. Thanks for the heads up!
