In terms of beauty products, for me 2024 was a great year for discovering new moisturizers. And because of the generosity of Paula’s Choice, I ended 2024 with an opportunity to try yet another new moisturizer:
Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer
Peptides have been a relatively new thing in skincare products, introduced a few years ago. And Paula’s Choice has been right there with their Pro-Collagen Multi-Peptide Booster, Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster, and Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Gloss Balm.
To round out the Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping collection, recently the Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer was added to the line.
Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping is recommended for Normal, Oily, Combination, and Dry skin. It addresses the following skin concerns:
- healthy skin
- firmness
- wrinkles
- dehydration.
Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer is a cushiony, non-greasy formula that saturates every surface cell in hydration to visibly plump and improve bounce. 3X Pro-Collagen Peptides support and sustain healthy collagen and elastin levels. Our foundation-friendly moisturizer won’t pill under makeup and preps skin for a boosted glow.
- Clinically proven to visibly plump & improve bounce
- 90% of research respondents saw instant plumping
- 24-hour hydration
- Help maintain healthy collagen levels
Pro-Collagen Peptide Moisturizer has a subtle pink color due to vitamin B12 (it’s pretty!), but it applies clear on all skin tones.
Like all Paula’s Choice products, it is fragrance-free, meaning no added scent. Although the ingredients can have their own aroma, I don’t smell any scent from this moisturizer.
The Pro-Collagen Peptide Moisturizer comes in two sizes in addition to the small sample packet given as a gift with purchase:
The packaging for the full-sized product is 43% recycled plastic (by weight). For the travel-sized product the packaging is made from 9% recycled plastic (by weight).

My Experience with the New Product
I received Pro-Collagen Peptide Moisturizer about 3 weeks ago, and I was excited to start using it. As we get older, our levels of collagen and elastin decrease. In fact, they start to dwindle in our early to mid-20s and decrease 1% each year. By the time we’re 55, it’s possible that our levels of collagen and elastin may have decreased by 30%! Yikes.
Obviously, I’ve been using the new collagen and elastin boosting moisturizer since I received it. It’s a lovely lightweight gel-cream moisturizer.
I use it primarily as a daytime moisturizer after applying Paula’s Choice Hyaluronic Acid Serum and a lightweight sunscreen, Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Lotion SPF 50. Used in conjunction with other products like the serum and the sunscreen, Pro-Collagen Peptide Moisturizer works well for me. Though truth be told, my usually dry skin that is ultra-dry this winter, could use a little more moisture. In fact, the lightweight gel isn’t hydrating enough as a nighttime moisturizer for me at this time of year.
Nevertheless, I think it would be perfect for my skin during the warmer weather. In fact, we’re going to Costa Rica later this month, and I will take it with me.
If your skin isn’t extra-dry like mine is now, but you’re looking for the benefits of increased collagen and elastin levels, like firmness and fewer wrinkles, then don’t wait till summer, check out new Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Moisturizer. It’s sold on the Paula’s Choice website as well as at Sephora and Sephora at Kohl’s.

So glad to see your review before I order! I know what you mean about dry skin and winter. I have been layering my skin care. A serum (nothing in particular, just trying to finish up everything), gobs of her Omega serum and then more moisturizer. Using generous amounts of everything really seems to help. My goal is to not let my skin get too dry because it’s so difficult to rehydrate.
Generous amounts of everything is a great idea, Denise! I like the new PC Barrier Cream, but if your skin is as dry as mine (and hopefully it isn’t), finish up your current moisturizer and wait till spring to try the new one! Happy New Year and hope all is well with you!
