Purlisse Glow Revival Facial Oil

Although I still have a lot of new products to review, I’ve been trying to clean up my office and bathroom, so I’ve started shopping my stash.

I thought about giving this facial oil away, but I changed my mind. I’m a fan of Purlisse, so I decided to use it.

I’ve written about Purlisse previously, but in case you don’t remember, here’s a little background. Purlisse was founded by Jennifer Yen, a Chinese-American from Alabama who had been an actress often wearing heavy stage makeup. She was looking for skincare that would help pamper her stressed skin. Using skincare secrets from her grandmother and from her Chinese culture along with research findings from Korea, France and the U.S., she launched Purlisse to bring results-driven skincare products to the market. Purlisse is a clean beauty brand that I find effective for me.

Purlisse Glow Revival Facial Oil

Benefits and Characteristics

Although Purlisse Glow Revival Facial Oil might make more sense for winter time use, it’s still useful for a hot, dry climate as well. It’s also useful for stressed and dehydrated skin. I love it to treat my skin when it needs some extra TLC.

Glow Revival Facial Oil provides:

  • intense hydration
  • a healthy glow
  • soothing and calming to stressed and irritated skin
  • firmness and elasticity.

Although Purlisse claims that Glow Revival Facial Oil is fast absorbing, you must truly use just a couple of drops of the oil. Glow Revival Facial Oil is viscous.

After cleansing and toning, I place not even a complete dropper full of Glow Revival Oil onto my fingers and press it onto my skin. Less is more when it comes to this facial oil. But Glow Revival Facial Oil does leave my dry, mature skin feeling plumper, smoother, and like velvet. I do not need moisturizer after applying this oil.

Sometimes I will add a drop of Glow Revival Facial Oil into one of my lighter weight moisturizers if I need a little more oomph, i.e. hydration, from the moisturizer.

While Purlisse states that Glow Revival Facial Oil is recommended for all skin types – dry, sensitive, combination, oily, I find it difficult to believe that this rich oil would work for oily skin. To be honest, it seems best for those with dry or very dry skin.

Ingredients

Purlisse Glow Revival Facial Oil is made primarily from natural extracts and oils. It has no added fragrance. However, some of the oils have their own light scent. As a result, I would describe the oil as having a very lightweight, natural scent that fades when it’s applied to skin, especially if you’re only using 2-3 drops of oil.

Key ingredients in the oil include:

  • Algae Oil: Rich in omega fatty acids and antioxidants to deeply nourish and protect skin
  • Violet Leaf: Known for its soothing properties and ability to improve skin texture
  • Oolong Tea: Packed with polyphenols to help defend against environmental stressors
  • Rice Seed Oil: Soothes and brightens skin
  • Soy Milk: Rich in amino acids and helps maintain skin’s elasticity
