While we were planning our trip to NC, I thought that having a backpack style purse might be handy since I knew I would be bringing a big suitcase as well as a large tote bag. Walasa, a brand that I’ve purchased from in the past (review of Luna Vintage Clutch here), had a sale on top of their usual sale. I thought I would take a look.
There have a number of backpacks, so I had a lot to choose from. I love bags with a frame, so no surprise that I ended up purchasing the Love Bag, a backpack with a bronze aluminum frame and clasp that is similar but different from the Luna Vintage Clutch.
The Love Bag Backpack comes in 8 shades. If I remember correctly, I wanted to buy it in Navy, but it was out of stock. Cobalt was also out of stock. I decided to go with Cognac, since I don’t have any purses in a neutral brownish color.
Although the bag isn’t huge, it’s still bigger than I expected. The stats are 10.6″H x 9″W x 4″D at the bottom. The split leather bag weighs 1.7 lbs. before adding my items.
In addition to the large storage area inside the central bag that is big enough to hold an iPad and more, it has a big pocket on the front with a magnetic closure as well as a buckle. Inside the bag is zippered pocket as well as two open storage areas.
Unfortunately, my iPhone Pro Max is too tall to fit in one of the inner pockets, but there is plenty of room for it in the magnetic closure outer pocket/storage area. There’s also a zippered vertical pocket on the back that would be the perfect spot to store a passport, credit cards/ID, tickets (if anyone still uses paper tickets), or cash (if anyone still uses cash!).
The Love Bag has two removable, adjustable straps to wear the bag as a regular backpack. It also had a loop handle if you want to carry the bag as a handbag. At the top of the back is another metal loop if you want to use one strap and carry it as a shoulder bag. Very handy.
Walasa includes a lightweight white dust bag for storage.
Although the Love Bag arrived too late for me to take it on our trip (boo hoo), I’ve been enjoying it since I’ve returned. It’s so…flexible! I carry a lot of stuff with me, and this bag can handle it.
I have no idea what I paid for it because their actual price is always changing. The original markdown price is $89.99, but I think there was a 30% off sale on top of that. Oh, and they threw in their signature leather bow for free. 😛
The Love Bag is sold on the Walasa website. Delivery is free. Their return policy is 15 days from receipt of the product. Luckily, I haven’t wanted to return my two Walasa bags.
