LYS Beauty Higher Standard Cream Glow Blush Stick

Creams are my friends when it comes to makeup. My dry skin loves them. My favorite foundation since the disappearance of CoverFX Cream Foundation Compact is LYS Beauty Triple Fix Blurring Skin Tint Foundation Stick. I’ve written about it a few times (here). I’m very happy with a shade that’s a great match.

So no surprise that I was eager to try LYS Beauty Higher Standard Cream Glow Blush Stick. The brand comes in 7 shades representing a nice range. I chose Bubbly, described by LYS as a soft pink shade (that I would describe as a pink/red/orange), that works well on my fair/light skin.

It’s a cinch to apply directly from the stick, and it can be blended in with a finger, brush or sponge. The formula is buildable and leaves a dewy and radiant glow to skin unless you really blend it in completely. I find LYS Beauty Cream Glow Blush Stick to last much longer on my cheeks than many other cream blushes that sometimes disappear with time. (A little eye makeup would have helped!)

Here are the benefits of Cream Blush:

  • Adds a natural radiance without accentuating skin texture
  • Moisturizing formula for a lasting glow
  • Highly pigmented formula that blends and builds evenly
  • Stick formula for effortless application
  • Watermelon Seed Extract: Helps retain the skin’s moisture levels for visibly radiant, healthier-looking skin
  • Green Tea Extract: Helps soothe and hydrate skin, while reducing the appearance of redness and irritation
  • Rosehip Oil: Antioxidant-rich with Vitamins A, C, and E to help reduce the look of dark spots and improve moisture levels

In addition, LYS Beauty Cream Glow Blush is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, and from an African-American woman owned business.

LYS Beauty Higher Standard Cream Glow Blush Stick is priced at $24 for 0.021 oz./6.2g. It will last a looong time. It’s sold on the LYS Beauty website, at Sephora, and at Credo Beauty.

BTW, I bought this cream blush through the LYS Beauty website, and sadly, it arrived with the top of the stick squished. I contacted LYS Customer Service right away via email, and I received a response very quickly. They were more than happy to replace the blush. The second one arrived in perfect condition. Frankly, Diandra with Customer Service couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.

I love the foundation stick and will look at their shades when the next Sephora sale starts (in 2 weeks).

    1. I think you’ll love the LYS Cream Blush Stick, and there are quite a few shades to choose from though I think Bubbly would suit your fair skin tone

  2. That is a beautiful color and looks fabulous on you, Allison! I haven’t worn cream blush in decades. I would probably end up looking like a clown. I wonder if you can even use a cream blush over a powder foundation (Laura Geller). It would seem it would just wipe that off. I’m switching foundations anyway when this is used up.

    1. Yes, I believe you can. I use a solid cream foundation in a compact from CoverFX and also a cream foundation stick from LYS, and I have no issue using a cream stick blush. You can either apply it directly from the stick or apply the blush to a brush and dab it on and smooth it out. Or you can even apply a blush before you apply your foundation to mute the blush. Thanks, Marsha!
