At this point in winter, my skin on my body has become almost unbearably itchy. Exfoliation and hydration are the answer. Spongelle with their sponges with solid body wash within provide an easy way to achieve both at the same time.
Spongelle sponges come in a variety of sizes, shapes and fragrances. Most of the time, I don’t care what shape or fragrance or color Spongelles I buy, so I often buy on price. In fact, Spongelle is just finishing up their warehouse sale, but truth be told, there are almost always sales on their website. .
Although I just said I didn’t care about shape, color and scent, I shopped the sale specifically for their Valentine’s Day heart-shaped sponge. It came in a pink and a red heart-shaped sponge, and I went for the red, Scarlet Blush.
Scarlet Blush comes with the handy ribbon for hanging on a shower hook. The body wash is formulated with extracts of yuzu, edelweiss and vetiver to soften, cleanse and moisturize.
The fragrance contains for the following scent notes:
- Top: Creamy Vanilla, Watery Pear
- Middle: Rose Buds, Jasmine
- Base: Sandalwood, Golden Amber

Spongelle Multiuse Bulgarian Rose Body Buffer
Currently, I’m using the flower-shaped Bulgarian Rose scented body buffer.
The fragrance is absolutely divine. My bathroom smells terrific all the time whether the body buffer is in use or just hanging in my shower!
The following are the scent notes:
- Top: Cinnamon Sticks, Sliced Ginger, Sweet Clove, Juicy Orange
- Middle: Tuberose
- Base: Whipped Vanilla, Cozy Musk
No wonder I love the scent so much!
This “multiuse” body buffer does not have the removable ribbon, unfortunately. So instead of hanging it from the shower hook, I balance it on a bunch of hooks so it can drain and dry. I think all of the Spongelles should have the ribbon so that you can either use it or not. I would always use it.

Spongelle Multiuse All-in-One Beauty Treatment
This multiuse body buffer is very similar to the one described above. It’s also flower-shaped, is “ribbonless” and is the same weight.
This time, the fragrance is Cinnamon & Honey. The gourmand buffer smells cozy and calming. Similar to the spicy scents that I tend to favor. Although it doesn’t appear that the Cinnamon & Honey is available now, the holiday box, Sugar & Spice Holiday Gingerbread Gift Set, includes a gingerbread-shaped buffer with a similar holiday spiced fragrance with the following notes:
- Top: Toasted Sugar
- Middle: Warm Cake Accord
- Base: Vanilla Bean
