Yesterday felt like a touch of autumn. In fact, the drop in the barometer going from hot and humid to cool and dry left me with a headache and dizziness. Yikes. But it happens every year around this time. Nevertheless, the heat is supposed to return this weekend.
Today is the start of the Waterfront Festival at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester. I’m looking forward to going. It’s always a good place to look for early holiday gifts. But I’m sad that my friend Daphne who was the owner and maker for Nature Island Botanicals developed dementia a few years ago and had to close her business. I always looked forward to seeing her and hearing what she was up to as well as replenishing my stock of gorgeous handmade soaps and lotions.
